I am beyond excited to bring some of the world's best teachers to your city. With Baby Lock, I’m touring some very popular sewing dealers throughout the year.
Whether attending a Sewing Celebration or School of Art and Fashion, this event will include hands-on sewing classes and fun, all of your fabulous kits will be furnished, as your lunches. We will hold fabulous tabletop clinics, where you will see many different techniques demonstrated, table-by-table. Also, I will present “Turning Your Hobby Into A Business” in case you are interested in beginning a business or growing a business you already have. And finally, a Trunk Show that you will find educational and inspiring.
We will have a retail store in the hotel with big discounts on most items such as lace, batiste, embroidery CDs, books, patterns, and much, much more. The Baby Lock dealer in the area will have a store with great shopping and discounts for you too. Victorian Antiques Hangar Fashion Show
Martha will present a totally antique garment “hangar” fashion show with her stories about the embroidery and sewing techniques on each. Join Martha for a journey back about 100 years in time as she shares many pieces from her Victorian/Edwardian clothing collection. With each item, a bit of sewing history has been preserved and each seamstress left a personal legacy in the masterpieces that you will see in this show. Enjoy the exquisite hand embroideries, many of which have been digitized for today's embroidery machines. Christening dresses, nightgowns, elaborate women's dresses, blouses and children's garments, are treasures which Martha has collected from her travels on three continents. Martha will also share stories about her journeys with Joe on the never ending search for more "white clothes," and she will pass the clothes around so you can actually see and touch and feel some of the clothes you have enjoyed in her books.

Did you know that there are only 3 techniques for lace shaping? Curving, mitering and flip-flopping – each one is EASY. Come and practice lace shaping "hands on" as you curve and miter lace. Martha herself will show you the flip-flopping technique. After this "cardboard box" class you will be ready to make the dress of your dreams like the ones you see in Sew Beautiful magazine and in Martha’s books. Start dreaming of lace hearts, diamonds, ovals, and scalloped skirts-your list will go on and on-because the mystery of lace shaping will be solved. We’ll furnish everything you need to make beautiful designs appear like magic and before you leave, you'll be saying, "I can’t believe how easy this is."
Heirloom Garment bag
Travel in style with your monogrammed heirloom garment bag. In this class you will learn both Sewing machine and Serger heirloom techniques. Try out top of the line machines provided by Baby Lock as you complete your garment bag there in class.
